How to Create Simple Waves in Your Hair

Waves have been a hot style throughout the summer months and their popularity can be seen throughout the fall, as well. Through the waves that are created in the hair, there is a level of high style and simplistic elegance that is created through the various styles which use waves as a base for the style.

As these waves are so popular, there are many women and girls that find themselves going out to the hair salon to have their hair textureized and perms – but this can be done just as simply, at home, and does not come with the permanent effects lasting up to six weeks and exposing the hair to chemicals that can be potentially damaging.

A simple way to create waves within the hair is to start from the time that the style is wet. When the style is wet, take one to two inch sections of the hair and twist the hair around the fingers, while twisting the hair in one direction to create hair that is going to remain in place. After the hair has been twisted, pin the sections of the hair upwards, towards the crown. At this point, the hair can be spritzed with a very small amount of styling spray to keep the hair that has been twisted, in place. The hair should be left in this position overnight, or until the hair has had the chance to dry.

Once the hair has been dried, removing the twists from the hair will reveal soft and textureized waves which can be worn in a variety of styles.

Other ways to create waves are with the use of curlers within the hair left overnight, and then brushed out of the hair. Once you apply product that is able to texturize this type of styles, there are some very interesting forms of waves that show through in the entire style.
